The Research Project "Problems of Integration of Multinational Armed Forces" is carried out at the Institute of Political Science at the Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena. The project is based on project works of the "Forschungsstelle Wehrrechtssysteme ", realized in 1998 at the University of the German Armed Forces in Munich. Furthermore, the project is based on a thesis project about questions on international military deployments of the German Armed Forces, launched at the University of Augsburg in 1997. The intensive cooperation of international universities in Europe and the US gave the project a truly valuable impetus.
